AIRE stands for "Adapting and Installing an international vocational training for Renewable Energy and energy management"

Information about the user group:


  • provides an easy structure for the application of the Energy Directive 2009/28/EC
  • respects the laws, regulations and variety of regionally or nationally differing training offers
  • makes the existing training schemes visible and comparable
  • promotes the certification of learning outcomes
  • gives a basis for the accreditation of training providers
  • makes cooperation among training providers easy
  • provides a qualification template for employers

Aims and Mission

  • Development and dissemination of international training in the field of regenerative energy techniques and energy management.
  • Development and use of transparency instruments for comparability of training in Europe. Definition of levels according to the European Qualification Framework, assigning ECVET credit points to modules, definition of parts of the training which can be completed abroad. Application of the EUROPASS instruments.
  • Networking among training institutions, companies, universities, political decision makers and associations in the field of sustainable energy and education.
  • Establishment of examination modalities and certification, which will facilitate to the candidates the execution of examination procedures independent from their school’s location and the recognition of achieved partial or total qualifications.
