18th European Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production (ERSCP)

1.10. - 5.10.2017, Skiathos Palace Hotel, Skiathos Island, Greece

The 18th European Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production (ERSCP 2017) is being built upon successful previous ERSCP conferences, such as the ones in Istanbul (Turkey), Bregenz (Austria), Delft (Netherlands) and Portoroz (Slovenia). The ERSCP is one of Europe's most remarkable conferences in its field and has taken place periodically since 1994. ERSCPs promotes discussions about the key issues in sustainable consumption and production; the exchange of thoughts, knowledge, experiences and SCP proposals; and the creation of a European (also worldwide) community of research and practice in sustainable consumption and production.

The main goal of the 18th ERSCP will be to encourage discussion amongst stakeholders involved in sustainable consumption and production: businesses, public institutions, universities, institutes and research centers, NGOs, SMEs, professional associations, decision-makers, etc.

The conference Themes & Topics will focus in contributions and case studies towards "A GREEner Challenge and Evolution in the Framework of the Circular Economy."

The main themes of the conference can be summarized in the following categories: Circular Economy, Zero waste management, Eco–Innovation, Eco–Design/Design for Sustainability, Eco–Efficiency, Sustainable/Smart Cities, Advances in Sustainable Consumption & Lifestyles, Sustainability in Production & Design, Sustainable Consumption and Food Waste Prevention, Sustainability Innovations Research and Development, Challenges for making progress in cross-cutting themes including Green and Inclusive Entrepreneurship & Sustainable, Ethical Investments, Food & Waste

The programme will include regular paper & poster sessions, workshops, special sessions, mini roundtables and social events, including a welcome cocktail party, a conference dinner and excursions. Networking and capacity building will be facilitated during the conference. A special programme of activities is being planned for accompanying persons.
